Asus' 11.6-inch EeeBook X205 laptop to tap India by Jan-end

The Asus EeeBook X205 is said to be lighter than other 11-inch notebooks in the market.

Sending out a teaser, Asus has announced the arrival of its EeeBook X205 to India. The company has not yet revealed the date of launch, but according to a source with information of the launch plans, the device will be released sometime around January 20.

There is no information yet on its price for the Indian market, but we expect the device to be priced under Rs 20,000.

The company has 2 to 3 announcements scheduled this month for the Indian market, added the source.

The Asus EeeBook X205, which debuted last year during IFA 2014, is a 11.6-inch Windows 8.1 notebook that weighs less than 1kg. The device is said to be lighter than other 11-inch notebooks in the market.

Other features include Intel Bay Trail-T quad-core Z3735 1.33GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB eMMC storage, VGA web camera and a card support for additional storage.
