VE Commercial Vehicles posts flat sales in May

Auto maker VE Commercial Vehicles today reported flat sales at 3,685 units in May of its Eicher branded products.

Domestic sales stood at 3,064 units in May this year as against 3,488 units in the same month year ago, down by 12.2 percent, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) said in a statement. On the exports front, Eicher trucks and buses sales jumped more than three-fold to 621 units last month, as against 193 units in May 2013, the company added.

For the fiscal 2013-14, company's total sales stood at 9,814 units as compared to 12,388 units in the previous fiscal, down by 20.77 percent.
