JSW Steel down 3% on CBI chargesheet against Sajjan Jindal

Shares of JSW Steel , a manufacturer and supplier of steel product, fell as much as 3.3 percent on Wednesday after sources said the Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a chargesheet against JSW chairman Sajjan Jindal, CEO Vinod Nowal and Senior VP V Sharma in illegal mining case.

While denying the news, the company clarified that, "As the copy of the charge sheet has not been served on any of the Officers of the Company, it is premature to offer comments. However, during the investigation stage the company has co-operated with the investigating authorities and provided all the details in connection with the alleged transactions."

At 10:09 hours IST, JSW Steel was trading at Rs 732, down 1.99%. Yesterday, the share fell 2.54% to close at Rs 746.85.
 
Other associate companies of the group like JSW ISPAT Steel, JSW Energy and Jindal South West Holdings too were down 1-2 percent.
